Tane Ward PhD is a consultant, strategist and movement organizer with over 20 years experience working in diverse communities for social progress.

  • Dr. Tane Ward designs public meetings as dynamic, thought-provoking experiences. With a rare blend of creativity and passion, he compels participants to examine their ties to the past while confidently articulating bold, future-forward ideas. His ability to ask the right questions—both challenging and illuminating—drives meaningful dialogue, all within an environment he intentionally cultivates to be inclusive, respectful, and safe for every voice in the room.

  • The CEER team loves working with Tane! We’ve worked with him on several occasions. Tane is deeply skilled in planning and facilitation, from smaller group planning to large planning processes. We worked with Tane closely as part of the community engagement process for Harris County’s Climate Justice, where he demonstrated a deep capacity to engage people from many different backgrounds and life experiences. Tane is also a visionary, displaying a persistent optimism that, when looking at the right time scale, enables groups to find solutions that would otherwise never be seen as possible. Furthermore, Tane has helped create clear guidelines and action steps that shape the path forward. He does all of this while holding close values of equity, justice, and solidarity.
